What is Brow Lamination?
- It is a process which provides symmetry and definition to the brow.
- It can control unruly hairs and provide volume and fullness to the brow.
What are the benefits?
- Brows appear denser and fuller
- Brows aref ixed into shape for approx. 6-8 weeks
Can I have my brows tinted?
- Yes. Tinted can be incorporated into the treatment if required.
What is the treatment time?
- Between 30-45 minutes
How long can I go in between appoinments?
- 6-8 weeks, however waxing and tinting in between is fine so long as your brows are healthy.
Do I need a patch test?
- Yes! No patch test = no treatment! This goes for ALL of our services here at Lash Lust.
-Patch test MUST be carried out at least 24 hours prior to the treatment and takes approx 10 mins.
Are there any contra-indications that my technican should be aware of before I have the treament?
-Any reactions to the patch test
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Any infectious skin conditions (eg.g scabies)
- Recent surgery- laser eye surgery must wait 3-6 months before brow lamination
- Fillers & Botox- leave 2-3 weeks before treatment
-Semi-permanent makeup- microblading- leave at least 12 weeks
- Cancer - chemotheraphy- you wll require a GP letter to say the treatment is safe
- Recent skin peels/microdermabrasion - wait 4-6 weeks before having treatment
- Anti-ageing creams or products containing vitamin A, retinol, AHA - stop using for 1 week before and 1 week after
- Acne product - glycolic acid, salicylic acid - stop using for 1 week befoe and 1 week after
- Roaccutane
- Eczema, psoris
- Topical and steroid creams and hydrocortizone
Aftercare
- Don't get brows wet for 24 hours after
- Avoid swimming, steam rooms, saunas and execssive exercise
- No sun-beds/sun-bathing/self-tan for 48 hours after
- Avoid the products listed in the contra-indications for 1 week after (acne, anti-ageing, steroids, etc.)
-No Makeup around the area for 24 hours after treatment
Apply Castor oil or brow serum morning and evening following thetreatment. This helps to stimulate growth.
